Job Title: Blaster Lead
Location: New Britain
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $19–$21/hour (based on experience)
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and experienced Blaster Lead to oversee daily blasting operations in a manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for leading a small team, ensuring production goals are met, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate blasting operations for metal components and parts
- Set up, operate, and maintain blasting equipment (e.g., sandblasting, shot blasting)
- Train and mentor team members on proper techniques and safety procedures
- Monitor workflow to ensure productivity and deadlines are met
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are achieved
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Enforce all safety protocols and workplace policies
- Troubleshoot equipment or process issues as they arise
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and cross-functional teams
Qualifications
- Previous experience in blasting, surface preparation, or a similar manufacturing environment
- Leadership or team lead experience preferred
- Ability to operate and maintain blasting equipment
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Ability to read work instructions, blueprints, or job orders (preferred)
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

- Industrial/manufacturing setting
- Exposure to dust, noise, and machinery (PPE required)
