Shipping Clerk / Warehouse Associate

Pay: $19–$21/hour
Schedule: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
Position Type: Temp-to-Perm Opportunity

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk / Warehouse Associate to support daily warehouse and shipping operations. This role requires the ability to multitask between office duties and warehouse floor activities, ensuring accurate order fulfillment and timely shipments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment to clients and internal divisions

  • Assemble and package orders on pallets or crates and stage them for outbound delivery

  • Process shipping documentation, including:

    • Verifying order accuracy

    • Completing Bills of Lading (BOL) for LTL shipments

    • Following specific customer shipping instructions

    • Applying appropriate labels and insurance when required


  • Schedule and coordinate LTL freight shipments

  • Load and unload shipments as needed

  • Operate RF handheld scanners for order picking and inventory restocking

  • Utilize warehouse equipment such as electric pallet jacks, order pickers, and reach trucks

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment

  • Provide coverage for other warehouse roles as needed

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred

  • Experience operating warehouse equipment (order picker, reach truck, or similar) required

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

  • Basic computer skills

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

  • Reliable with excellent attendance

Requirements

  • Steel-toe or composite work boots required

  • Ability to work overtime as needed

  • Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team environment
