Job Title: Sanitation Associate

Pay Rate: $23/hr

Shift Schedule:

  • Monday – Thursday: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM

  • Saturday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Safety Equipment: Steel Toe Shoes Required


Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Sanitation Associate to ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of food service equipment and our facility. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and physical stamina, as it involves the thorough cleaning and maintenance of large-scale equipment utilized in food production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform deep cleaning and sanitization of equipment following established Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP).

  • Dismantle and reassemble plumbing systems that transport products to ensure thorough cleaning.

  • Utilize power washers and adhere to safety protocols by wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE) to handle water and cleaning chemicals.

  • Conduct routine swabbing and inspections in conjunction with Quality Assurance to confirm the removal of all product residues.

  • Provide training and technical guidance to fellow sanitation team members as needed.

  • Respond promptly to sanitation emergencies and assist in addressing departmental absences as required.

  • Maintain knowledge of Chemical in Place (CIP) operations and standards for cleaning milk silos.

  • Complete master sanitation and daily documentation as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Mechanically inclined with the ability to safely dismantle and reassemble equipment.

  • Understand and follow written and oral sanitation procedures.

  • Proficient in reading Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and adhering to safety protocols.

  • Must be fluent in English or Spanish, both in reading and writing.

Physical Requirements:

  • Stand for the entire shift and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.

  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and a noisy production environment.

  • Safety requirements mandate the use of Steel Toe Shoes at all times.
