Job Title: Warehouse Order Clerk (HiLo Required)
Reports to: Logistics Manager
Shift: 1st (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
Temp-to-hire
Pay Rate: $18 – $20/hour depending exp.

Job Summary:
The Warehouse Order Picker & Shipping/Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving, storing, selecting, preparing, and distributing products within the warehouse. This role also oversees and documents the shipping and receiving process to ensure safe food handling, product quality, and compliance with all GFSI Global Standards, GMP procedures, and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, store, pull, and distribute product in the warehouse, adhering to all food safety and workplace safety protocols.

  • Perform pre- and post-production visual inspections of Hi-Los, loading areas, and warehouse space.

  • Verify and keep accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments.

  • Prepare items for shipment, ensuring all outgoing products meet order specifications.

  • Compare identifying information and counts or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify against invoices, orders, and other records.

  • Examine incoming delivery trucks for cleanliness and odors to ensure compliance with company standards.

  • Verify allergens, gluten-free status, and kosher status on inbound materials and record findings accordingly.

  • Examine shipments for damage, record shortages, reject damaged items, and correspond with shippers as needed.

  • Ensure gluten-free bulk materials and packaging are accurately tagged and stored correctly in warehouse racks.

  • Maintain effective communication with the Logistics Manager and team regarding status or discrepancies with shipments.

  • Follow all GMP and safe food handling procedures throughout all tasks.

  • Other warehouse duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Forklift certification

  • Previous experience loading/unloading trucks

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a warehouse, shipping/receiving, or order picking preferred.

  • Familiarity with GFSI, GMP, safe food handling, allergen, kosher, and gluten-free protocols is highly desirable.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.

  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including Hi-Los (forklifts), safely and efficiently.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
