Job Title: Manager, Walk Fundraising Events
Location: (City & State)
Full Time: 37.5 hours per week
Reports To: Sr. Walk Director/Development Director
Are you ready to lead game-changing fundraising events and create meaningful impact in your community? Join a passionate team of leaders dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by Alzheimer’s and dementia. As Manager of Walk Fundraising Events, you will drive the implementation of the nation’s top walk fundraising program, cultivating key partnerships and empowering volunteers to help move us closer to a world without Alzheimer’s and all other dementia.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead multiple large-scale peer-to-peer fundraising events annually, generating excitement and participation at every turn
- Build relationships with local businesses, community leaders, and volunteers, leveraging your networking and coaching skills
- Inspire, recruit, manage, and support event volunteers to deliver year-over-year revenue growth and outstanding participant experience
- Use custom fundraising training, data, and best practices to maximize event performance
- Strategically identify and engage new sponsors, teams, and supporters
- Be the driving force for event planning, budget management, volunteer training, and milestone tracking
- Travel in your region up to 60% to engage with communities (primarily same-day, occasional overnight/air)
- Flex your communication, organization, and leadership skills in a highly collaborative environment
- Play a crucial role in advancing the mission for a brighter, healthier future for all
Who You Are:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, plus 3-5 years’ success recruiting/mobilizing volunteers or meeting sales targets
- Confident, goal-oriented self-starter passionate about working independently and as part of a team
- Gifted relationship-builder who thrives in diverse communities and creates inclusive team environments
- Experienced at managing budgets, multiple projects, and event logistics
- Strong with Microsoft Office and social media; a quick study with fundraising-specific software like Luminate/Convio
- Ready to work some evenings/weekends for community and fundraising events
- Have a valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, good driving record, and automobile insurance
- Able to bend, lift, and transport up to 25 lbs. as needed
