Assembly Manager (Line Lead) – Direct Hire / TTH
Kelly Services | St. Louis, MO (Relocating to Pacific, MO May 2026)

Kelly Services is seeking an experienced Assembly Manager (Line Lead) for a growing manufacturing client in the St. Louis area. This is a direct hire or temp-to-hire opportunity offering strong benefits, a collaborative environment, and long-term growth potential.

Important Location Note:
The facility is currently located in St. Louis City and will permanently relocate to Pacific, MO on May 1, 2026. Candidates must be able to commute to St. Louis City until the move.


Schedule & Pay

  • Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

  • Pay Range: $55,000 – $75,000 annually (based on experience)

  • Employment Type: Direct Hire or Temp-to-Hire

Position Overview

The Assembly Manager will oversee daily operations within the assembly department, ensuring efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery. This role works closely with the Director of Operations to prioritize orders, manage workflow, and maintain high production standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage day-to-day operations of the assembly room

  • Assign work and provide clear direction to team members

  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure materials are readily available

  • Perform and enforce quality control checks for accuracy and consistency

  • Prioritize production schedules to meet shipping deadlines

  • Ensure all paperwork and documentation are completed accurately

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

  • Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety/PPE compliance

  • Operate forklift as needed

Qualifications

  • Prior leadership or management experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

  • Inventory management experience preferred

  • Forklift experience and/or certification required

  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills

  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to lead by example
