Controller (Manufacturing) – Hands-On Leader Wanted

Irvine, CA | Salary: $150,000 – $160,000 | ? 4-Day Work Week (10-hour days) (onsite)

Own the Numbers. Drive the Business. Lead from the Front.

We’re looking for a hands-on Controller who thrives in a fast-paced contract/electronic manufacturing environment and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves. This is not a “sit back and review” role—you’ll be in the details, driving financial performance, and partnering directly with leadership.

If you’re a QuickBooks Desktop expert, love cost accounting, and enjoy being deeply embedded in operations, this is your role.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and oversee all accounting and finance operations (AP/AR, reporting, budgeting, forecasting)

  • Own cost accounting—analyze labor, materials, and production costs to support bids and margins

  • Prepare and present financial reports and insights to the General Manager and ownership

  • Drive budgeting and variance analysis to improve profitability

  • Forecast revenue, expenses, and cash flow with accuracy

  • Partner with operations and leadership on strategic planning and project decisions

  • Improve processes, systems, and financial visibility across the organization

  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff while staying hands-on in daily operations

What You Must Bring

  • QuickBooks Desktop MASTER (non-negotiable)

  • Strong contract/electronic manufacturing experience REQUIRED

  • Deep knowledge of cost accounting, financial reporting, and forecasting

  • Hands-on mindset, you’re comfortable doing the work, not just overseeing it

  • Experience with MRP systems and manufacturing workflows

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate with all levels of leadership

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

  • 10+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience (leadership required)

Why Join Us?

  • 4-day work week (10-hour days = 3-day weekends!)

  • Competitive salary: $150K – $160K

  • Direct exposure to executive leadership and business strategy

  • Opportunity to make a real impact on a growing manufacturing company

  • Collaborative, fast-paced environment where your voice matters

Additional Requirements

  • The role requires security clearance- US Citizenship

  • Ability to work in an office/warehouse environment and perform standard physical tasks

If you’re a detail-driven, hands-on Controller who knows manufacturing inside and out—and can run circles around QuickBooks Desktop—we want to talk to you. Send your resume to daid740@kellyservices.com Or call Daisy at 562-471-7322
