What’s a typical day as Distribution Coordinator? You’ll be:
- Coordinating projects and continuous improvement initiatives within both RMW and Distribution operations.
- Collaborating with management to develop and implement Lean processes that drive efficiency and standardize work.
- Partnering with Distribution teams to collect observations, ideas, and solutions while providing ongoing Lean guidance, training, and sharing best practices.
- Supporting project teams with data gathering, analysis, and presentation of insights to enhance operational effectiveness and management reporting.
- Identifying opportunities for improvement through data analysis and seeking operational input to drive studies and projects.
- Adhering to environmental policies and supporting departmental environmental objectives.
- Creating and analyzing business metrics to optimize employee performance across the department.
- Working with Operations Manager and Senior Director on Lean activities, including analysis, administration, and implementation support.
- Investigating operational challenges, performing root cause analysis, and implementing solutions with management.
- Tracking and improving Quality standards to ensure compliance and exceed expectations.
- Reviewing Quality Incident Reports to define trends, implementing corrective actions, and ensuring ongoing process adherence.
- Resolving abnormal quality issues in coordination with internal teams and clients.
- Participating in meetings, supporting the GDP program, and documenting improvements for presentation to the customer.
- Supporting customer-driven Process Improvement savings goals and ensuring all required trainings and certifications are completed.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Have Logistics, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or Operations training and a minimum of 7 years’ experience in Distribution, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain environments.
- Bring hands-on Lean, Kaizen, and/or Six Sigma expertise.
- Possess advanced analytical, detail-oriented, and organizational abilities with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Are proficient in Advanced Excel (pivot tables, calculations, dashboards) and MS Office software.
- Can quickly learn custom reporting and systems such as SAP and DCS.
- Are able to manage multiple projects independently and travel as needed (up to 25%).
- Pay high attention to detail and are comfortable with light physical demands.
