Job details
Job Title: Material Handler – Warehouse/Customer Service
Location: Warehouse/Retail Environment
Pay Rate: $21/hr
Schedule: Monday – Friday, with overtime as needed
Assignment: Temp-to-hire
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle batteries (new, old, used) for processing and recycling in a warehouse setting
- Perform general labor, including building pallets, shrink wrapping, and moving batteries (5–100 lbs); team lift required for items over 50 lbs
- Pull batteries from retail store as needed and transport using carts
- Process shipping/receiving tasks in a potentially dusty and loud environment
- Maintain inventory records (inventory experience required; scanner training provided)
- Deliver excellent customer service, both in the warehouse and retail setting
Requirements:
- Warehouse and shipping/receiving experience preferred
- Inventory, customer service, and/or retail experience required
- Basic computer skills.
- Forklift license (FKL) a plus
- Ability to perform physical work, including frequent lifting
- Willingness to work in varied warehouse conditions (dust, noise)
- Must wear composite or steel-toe boots; customer provides personal protective equipment (PPE)
