Job Title: Warehouse Technician (temp-hire)
Location: Syracuse, NY
Pay Rate: $20–$22/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1st Shift (7:00 AM–3:30 PM or 8:00 AM–4:30 PM; flexibility required)


Position Summary
Kelly Services is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Production Technician I – Warehouse Technician to support daily warehouse and production operations. This role is responsible for material handling, inventory control, order fulfillment, and maintaining compliance with company procedures and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, regulated environment and demonstrates a strong commitment to safety, accuracy, and teamwork.


Key Responsibilities

  • Load and unload materials using proper handling and securing procedures

  • Receive, select, and prepare materials for distribution to internal stakeholders

  • Verify shipment accuracy and maintain supporting documentation

  • Process incoming materials and route to appropriate departments

  • Fill work orders, package assemblies, and receive finished goods into inventory

  • Accurately record inventory transactions and support cycle counts and reconciliations

  • Inspect returned materials and determine appropriate disposition (restock or return to supplier)

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and verify billing and inventory reports

  • Organize and maintain warehouse storage locations in accordance with operational procedures

  • Process orders including picking, quality checks, sorting, consolidating freight, packing, and preparing shipments

  • Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment

  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and company policies

  • Promote a safe, collaborative, and respectful workplace

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma

  • Minimum of 1 year of warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

  • Experience in high-volume and/or regulated industries is a plus

  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, general computer systems and spreadsheet

  • Understanding of warehouse operations and material flow processes

  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks – as applicable)

Work Environment

  • Fast-paced warehouse and manufacturing setting

  • Requires standing, walking, and lifting throughout the shift

  • Must adhere to all safety and regulatory standards
