Manufacturing & Production Associates (Multiple Openings)

Overview

Metropolitan Cabinets & Countertops is hiring dependable and hardworking individuals to join our growing manufacturing team. We have multiple openings across cabinet production, stone fabrication, machine operation, and warehouse support.

Opportunities are available for both entry-level and experienced candidates, with the ability to cross-train and grow within the company.


Current Openings & Pay Ranges

  • Stone Polisher: $18–$25/hr

  • Machine Operator (Cabinet): $18–$20/hr

  • Machine Operator (Stone): $18–$25/hr

  • Cabinet Shop / Warehouse Associate: $18–$20/hr

Position Responsibilities

Machine Operators (Cabinet & Stone)

  • Operate production equipment such as CNC machines, panel saws, edge banders, bridge saws, and polishers

  • Interpret work orders, shop drawings, and cut sheets

  • Set up machines including tooling, calibration, and material alignment

  • Monitor production to ensure accuracy, quality, and efficiency

  • Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting

Cabinet Builders / Assemblers

  • Assemble cabinet boxes, doors, drawers, and hardware

  • Install hinges, slides, and other components

  • Verify measurements and ensure product accuracy

  • Inspect finished products to meet quality standards

  • Prepare completed cabinets for delivery or installation

Stone Polishers

  • Polish granite, quartz, marble, and other stone surfaces using hand and power tools

  • Repair minor imperfections such as chips or scratches

  • Follow detailed work orders and specifications

  • Maintain polishing equipment and tools

  • Ensure high-quality finishes and consistency

Warehouse Associates / Material Handlers

  • Pick and stage materials based on job orders

  • Load, unload, and move materials safely

  • Maintain inventory accuracy and organization

  • Support shipping, receiving, and production teams

  • Assist with general shop tasks and cleanliness

Receivers / General Labor

  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments

  • Verify quantities and material condition

  • Maintain organized storage areas

  • Assist with general labor and shop support tasks

  • Ensure a safe and clean work environment

Quality & Team Expectations

  • Inspect materials and finished products for accuracy and defects

  • Maintain high standards to reduce waste and rework

  • Collaborate with production, fabrication, and installation teams

  • Support workflow efficiency and meet production deadlines

  • Participate in cross-training as needed

Qualifications

Required

  • Ability to read tape measures, shop drawings, and production documents

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (assistance provided for heavier materials)

  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Preferred

  • Experience in cabinet manufacturing, millwork, or stone fabrication

  • Familiarity with materials such as quartz, granite, laminate, or solid surface

  • Forklift or material handling experience

  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing and warehouse setting

  • Exposure to machinery, dust, and noise

  • Use of power tools and material handling equipment

  • Overtime and occasional Saturday work may be required
