Warehouse Associate / Fork Lift Operator
Location: Atlanta, GA 30336
Pay Rate: $19 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (some overtime required)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dependable Warehouse Associate/Fork Lift Operator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and demonstrates a commitment to safety and operational excellence. This role is responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, staging, shipping, and documenting materials used in industrial distribution.


Key Responsibilities

Receiving:

  • Receive incoming shipments, unload trucks, and verify materials against purchase orders.

  • Inspect products for accuracy, quality, and potential damage.

  • Enter received materials into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).

  • Label, stage, and store materials in designated warehouse locations.

Shipping:

  • Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for customer shipment.

  • Build pallets, crate equipment, and secure loads according to shipping guidelines.

  • Generate shipping documentation (BOLs, packing slips, manifests).

  • Coordinate carrier pickups and track outgoing shipments.

Warehouse Operations:

  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.

  • Support cycle counts and inventory control activities.

  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas.

  • Adhere to all safety policies, including PPE requirements and MRC Global operational standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • 1–2 years of warehouse, shipping/receiving, or material-handling experience preferred.

  • Industrial distribution, pipe/valve/fitting (PVF), or energy product experience a plus.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.

  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, WMS experience preferred).

  • Must have Cherry Picker and Reach Lift experience (minimum 2 years preferred).

  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain upon hire.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
