About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on HR/Operations Manager to step into a well-established role due to an upcoming retirement. This position is critical to the day-to-day operation of the business—owning everything from administrative “ground-level” tasks to higher-level HR strategy and employee support.
Our company manufactures precision-engineered products for industrial applications, and we’re looking for someone from a manufacturing environment who values long-term stability, ownership, and growth.
What You’ll Do
This is a true end-to-end HR role—ideal for someone who enjoys both rolling up their sleeves and contributing at a higher level.
Core HR Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle HR: recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance
- Lead performance management processes including reviews, coaching, and counseling statements
- Partner with managers on employee issues, documentation, and disciplinary actions
- Administer benefits programs and handle employee questions, enrollments, and annual renewals
- Approve and track employee timecards, PTO, and attendance
- Maintain HR records, ensure confidentiality, and keep policies up to date
- Oversee workers’ comp, OSHA logs, and safety program participation
Administrative & Operational Ownership
- Handle day-to-day administrative tasks including filing, documentation, and recordkeeping
- Manage permits, licenses, and annual renewals (business, insurance, compliance-related)
- Follow up on invoices, resolve billing discrepancies, and support vendor coordination
- Oversee shipping claims and ensure proper documentation and resolution
- Maintain organized systems across HR, operations, and administrative functions
Finance Systems & Process Support
- Support ERP/HRIS systems, data accuracy, and reporting
- Assist with process improvements across HR, accounting, and operations
- Track and share key metrics (headcount, turnover, training, etc.)
What We’re Looking For
- Someone who takes full ownership of their role—from detailed admin tasks to strategic HR support
- Self-motivated, hands-on, and willing to jump in wherever needed
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Critical thinker with solid problem-solving ability
- Flexible and comfortable in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Qualifications
- 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting
- Strong knowledge of employment law, benefits, payroll practices, OSHA, and workers’ comp
- Experience with performance management, employee relations, and compliance
- Comfortable handling both administrative duties and higher-level HR responsibilities
- Proficiency with ERP/HRIS systems and Microsoft 365 tools
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
Why Join Us?
- Step into a stable, long-term role with established processes
- Opportunity to grow and expand your impact over time
- High visibility and collaboration with leadership
- Supportive team environment with strong tenure
