Lead Swiss CNC Programmer
Location: Clearwater FL
Pay Rate: $56.25/hour

Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Swiss CNC Programmer to join our Precision Machining Operations team. This role is responsible for leading CNC programming initiatives, optimizing machining processes, and supporting production across a variety of advanced manufacturing equipment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead CNC programming efforts using ESPRIT CAM software

  • Develop, optimize, and maintain programs for:

    • Swiss-type lathes

    • Mill/turn machines

    • CNC mills and lathes

    • EDM and grinding equipment


  • Create and customize post-processors for multi-axis machining applications

  • Analyze engineering drawings to determine:

    • Machining methods

    • Tooling and fixtures

    • Process flow and inspection requirements


  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives (cycle time reduction, setup optimization, quality improvements)

  • Troubleshoot and resolve machining and programming issues

  • Standardize programming practices and manage program documentation

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of CNC programming experience, including Swiss machining

  • Strong experience with ESPRIT CAM software

  • Proven ability to develop and optimize CNC programs from blueprint to production

  • Experience with multi-axis machining and post-processor customization

  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T

  • Proficiency in G-code (ISO programming) for editing and troubleshooting

  • Hands-on knowledge of machining processes: turning, milling, and grinding

  • Ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CAD software (Solid Edge preferred)

  • Prior leadership or mentoring experience

  • Experience supporting lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field OR equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience
