Kelly is hiring Welders on behalf of a leading manufacturer of power distribution centers and enclosures.
$18.50 – $22.00 Per Hour Based on Experience
4-Day Work Week (OT May Be Required on Fridays)
1st Shift 5:30 am – 3:30 pm
Responsibilities:
- Tack/weld metal parts together using welding machines.
- Read and understand production assembly drawings.
- Use measuring tools, calipers, tape measure.
- Report unresolved shortages and job status to supervisor.
- Report needed drawing corrections to supervisor.
- Complete daily part(s) assembly lists.
- Follow standard shop practices and verbal instructions.
- Detect and report any mechanical defects of assembly(s) and/or raw material.
- Check work for accuracy and completeness.
- Refer all unusual conditions to supervisor.
- Maintain clean and safe work area.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years’ welding experience.
- Able to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division calculations using whole numbers and fractions.
- Able to read a measuring tape to a 1/16” measurement.
- Able to read and interpret production drawings and work instructions.
- Able to use/operate; MIG/TIG welders, hand and portable power tools, forklift & pallet jack as required.
Professional Certification(s)
- Certified welder for minimum 2 years required.
- Able to attain forklift and overhead crane certificate within (2) weeks of employment as required.
Physical Requirements
- Spends the majority of the work shift walking, bending and stooping.
- Generally requires clear vision at 20 inches or less for reading.
- Reaching above shoulder height, below the waist or lifting as required to carry supplies, tools and equipment throughout the workday.
- May include lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs. with no assistance.
