Kelly Services is currently recruiting for a permanent, full-time Purchasing & Logistics Coordinator on behalf of our client in Waterloo, ON. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in purchasing and logistics who enjoys working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment and is eager to drive efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full purchasing lifecycle, including requisitions, RFQs, and purchase orders
- Follow up with vendors to ensure on-time delivery and resolve delays
- Identify alternate suppliers and negotiate pricing to support cost savings
- Oversee incoming goods inspection and coordinate inventory intake
- Support and perform regular cycle counts
- Maintain accurate inventory and item data within NetSuite
- Initiate purchasing activities based on sales and work order requirements
- Coordinate cross-border shipments between Canada and the U.S.
- Work with freight carriers and customs brokers to ensure smooth deliveries
- Prepare shipping documentation (e.g., commercial invoices) for customs clearance
Qualifications:
- 2–5 years of experience in purchasing, logistics, or supply chain
- Strong knowledge of cross-border shipping, customs processes, and freight coordination
- Experience with NetSuite is a strong asset; other ERP systems are also valued
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to take ownership of responsibilities
- Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
Additional Information:
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, flexible start time available
- Hybrid work model: 4 days in-office, 1 day remote
