Mechanical Owner’s Representative
Project (May-September) 5/10 schedule
Job Summary:
Step into a pivotal leadership role as a General Mechanical Owner’s Representative, where you will spearhead construction management for multiple dynamic projects. Roles and Responsibilities:
- Champion construction safety best practices and foster a zero-incident safety culture among all stakeholders.
- Provide proactive, visible leadership to Construction Management teams on safety, quality, schedule, and cost across assigned projects.
- Develop comprehensive plans for resource needs, ensuring budgets and staffing align with project demands, in collaboration with resource leaders and project managers.
- Offer expert advice during Front End Loading phases to minimize construction costs and apply optimal planning, technology selection, and constructability principles.
- Contribute to contract labor strategies, oversee contractor agreements, resolve claims, and actively manage labor costs.
- Apply the Global Capital Work Process (GPM) Construction disciplines and leverage relevant expertise networks.
- Support integrated, effective construction schedules, monitor milestones, and communicate discrepancies promptly.
- Implement robust quality plans to reduce start-up and operability challenges.
- Mentor and coach new or less-experienced construction personnel to foster skills development.
- Demonstrate and apply advanced knowledge of internal and external standards, constructability processes, and best practices.
- Drive adoption of emerging technologies to optimize project outcomes.
- Provide continuous improvement feedback, highlighting the Most Effective Technology to enhance safety, cost, and productivity.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, manufacturing, or related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience accepted.
- Demonstrated leadership in construction management across multiple projects.
- Strong knowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety (EHandS) standards and constructability principles.
- Advanced conceptual and practical expertise across engineering and construction disciplines.
- Excellent communication, mentoring, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to drive continuous improvement and integrate new technologies.
