Kelly® is hiring a skilled CNC Programmer to support high-precision defense and aerospace manufacturing in Hampton, VA.
This role is at the intersection of engineering, machining, and quality compliance—where every line of code translates into real-world performance and reliability.

What You’ll Do
- Develop, edit, and maintain CNC programs for mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines
- Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T requirements
- Create and manage setup sheets, tooling documentation, and revision control
- Support First Article Inspections (AS9102) and initial production validation
- Select tooling and machining strategies aligned with engineering + quality standards
- Troubleshoot production issues while maintaining process compliance
- Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement efforts
- Support internal, customer, and third-party audits
- Ensure compliance with AS9100, ITAR/EAR, and cybersecurity requirements
What You Bring
- CNC programming experience in a regulated manufacturing environment
- Strong proficiency in CAM software and G-code
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T
- Experience working within AS9100 or similar quality systems
- High attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Preferred Experience
- AS9102 First Article Inspection experience
- Background in defense or aerospace manufacturing
- Familiarity with ITAR/EAR-controlled environments
- Experience machining tight-tolerance and specialty materials
Compliance Requirements
- Must meet export control regulations (ITAR/EAR)
- U.S. Person status required (where applicable)
- Ability to pass background screening per contract requirements
Work Environment
- Manufacturing/shop-floor setting
- Standing, walking, and hands-on production support required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- PPE required
