1st Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
$30–$38/hr (based on experience + shift differential)

Kelly® is hiring a certified NDT Level II Technician to support critical defense shipbuilding programs in Hampton, VA. This is more than inspection—it’s precision work that directly supports the integrity and safety of naval vessels.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform Visual (VT), Penetrant (PT), and Magnetic Particle (MT) inspections

  • Interpret and disposition inspection results per NAVSEA, ASNT, and customer standards

  • Set up, calibrate, and verify NDT equipment

  • Conduct inspections on welds, ship structures, and fabricated assemblies

  • Document results with full traceability and compliance

  • Support audits, corrective actions, and quality investigations

  • Assist in mentoring Level I technicians

  • (If qualified) Interpret radiographic film or digital images

What You Bring

  • Current NDT Level II certifications (VT, PT, MT) per ASNT SNT-TC-1A

  • Proven ability to interpret and disposition results independently

  • Experience in shipbuilding, welding, or industrial inspection environments

  • Ability to read engineering drawings, weld symbols, and specs

  • Strong attention to detail and sound technical judgment

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Experience or certification in UT and/or RT

  • Radiographic film interpretation experience

  • Familiarity with NAVSEA standards

  • Multi-method certifications and desire to grow

Certification Requirements (Required for Hire)

This is a certified role. Candidates must provide:

  • Current Level II certification documentation (by method)

  • Verified experience hours

  • Formal attestation of certification accuracy

Work Environment

  • Shipyard/industrial setting (confined spaces & heights at times)

  • PPE required

  • Must meet vision and physical requirements
