Schedule: Full-Time, On-site (Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
Position Overview
As a Shipping Receiving Team Member, you’ll play a key role in the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility by handling incoming and outgoing shipments efficiently and accurately. This role is essential for maintaining accurate inventory, ensuring timely shipments, and keeping the warehouse clean, safe, and organized. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and invoices
- Load, unload, sort, and organize incoming freight with care and accuracy
- Prepare, pack, and label outgoing shipments following company and carrier requirements
- Coordinate with carriers and shipping companies to schedule deliveries and pickups
- Maintain accurate inventory records; update logs and databases as needed
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment if applicable
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company procedures
- Organize and maintain the warehouse, yard, and production areas
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits
- Keep the shipping and receiving area clean and orderly
- Work with other departments to resolve shipping or inventory discrepancies
- Perform additional duties as required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Prior experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks (standing, bending, lifting)
- Strong commitment to performing work safely and efficiently
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Proven experience operating forklifts (indoor/outdoor; propane experience preferred)
- Safety steel/composite-toed shoes required
