Inventory Control Specialist

Location: Elgin, IL
Pay Rate: $21.43/hour
Shifts: 1st and 2nd Shift
As an Inventory Control Specialist, you’ll play a crucial role in managing day-to-day inventory operations, maintaining optimal stock levels, and ensuring accuracy in all inventory data and transactions. What You’ll Do
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels to balance availability and minimize excess stock.
- Manage procurement of inventory and spare parts, working closely with approved vendors.
- Analyze weekly inventory reports, purchasing needs, and consumption trends.
- Audit and update product information in the TME system.
- Perform receiving duties: verifying, inspecting, and organizing incoming items.
- Address and resolve inventory discrepancies and data inaccuracies.
- Build strong relationships with vendors to support smooth supply chain operations and implement kanban systems.
- Collaborate with technicians, manufacturing teams, and management to support production goals.
- Train colleagues on inventory processes and TME system usage.
- Prepare and present inventory performance reports.
- Regular use of spreadsheets, data entry tools, and reporting systems.
What We’re Looking For
- High School Diploma; technical degree or some college preferred.
- 1–2 years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, supply chain, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Solid organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Able to lift up to 35 lbs. unassisted and up to 50+ lbs. with a team.
Preferred:
- Experience in electronics, manufacturing, technical support, or quality inspection.
- Familiarity with TME inventory systems, kanban, or lean inventory practices.
- Understanding process control, defect analysis, or equipment maintenance.
