Job Title: Assembler-Packer
3RD SHIFT:
Mon-Fri 11:30pm-7:30am $15.25hr

Essential Job Functions

The Assembler-Packer performs a variety of interrelated tasks that are rotated throughout the shift. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Attendance & Punctuality: Reliable attendance and punctuality for all scheduled shifts, arriving ready and able to work.

  2. Safety Compliance: Work safely at all times, adhering to company safety rules, policies, and procedures.

  3. Training Participation: Take part in all required safety and workplace training sessions during scheduled shifts.

  4. Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with team members, assist colleagues as needed, and help train new employees.

  5. Housekeeping: Maintain clean and orderly work areas by picking up debris, parts, papers, and sweeping as needed.

  6. Packing & Production: Gather and pack manufactured products daily, consistently meeting production standards.

  7. Material Verification: Refer to Product Order Reports to ensure accurate materials (packaging, cartons, etc.) and quantities per pack/box.

  8. Quality Reporting: Report any quality concerns (e.g., flash, shorts, burns, wraps, box issues) to Q.C. or the shift supervisor immediately.

  9. Assembly Tasks: Assemble or reassemble parts (such as inserting clips into hangers or hooks into jawbreaker parts) as required.

  10. Additional Assignments: Provide assistance in rework, inspection, or other tasks as directed by supervisors.

  11. Other Duties: Perform additional job assignments as instructed by your supervisor.

Job Requirements

  • Strong manual dexterity and ability to work at a steady pace.

  • Physical capabilities including standing, bending, flexibility, and lifting.

  • Ability to read and understand documents, such as Product Order Reports, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures.

Physical Demands

  • Frequent stooping, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, pulling, pushing, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.

  • Ability to lift, pull, or push up to 30 pounds.

  • Significant fine finger dexterity and good eye/hand coordination for machinery operation.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods, often for the entire shift.
