Material Handler
Job Summary
The Material Handler position is responsible for receiving, storing, handling, moving, and shipping our materials and supplies with care to ensure that our cabinets are created with quality in mind. The shift time for this position is 5:30 am to 1:30 pm, with overtime expected. The starting pay rate is $15.50 per hour. Responsibilities

  • Support the CARE values of the organization

  • Commit to producing a quality product for our customers

  • Assist in receiving material, equipment, and supplies delivered on purchase orders

  • Load and unload trucks containing material, supplies, and equipment

  • Move material to proper location or work area

  • Follow company policies and procedures as it relates to material functions

  • Wrap, pack, and prepare products for movement and/or shipment

  • Perform periodic inventory and stock control on a limited basis

  • Maintain a clean, safe working environment

  • Adhere to all applicable safety rules and regulations

  • Operate forklift and pallet jack to transport and store materials

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Detail oriented

  • Safety focused

  • Good analytical skills

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and visual interpretations

  • Ability to perform basic mathematical skills

Working Relationship Communication is required across all levels of the organization, including the executive team, other functional leaders, subordinates, and production floor workers. The Material Handler works under the immediate supervision of the Finishing Supervisor.
PPE Safety glasses, ear plugs, and safety shoes are required. Other PPE may be required depending on the role
