Forklift Operator / Warehouse Associate

Location: Franklin, MA
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: 1st Shift: $20/hour, 2nd Shift: $22/hour


Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and versatile Forklift Operator / Warehouse Associate to join our team. This role is ideal for candidates who are not only experienced with forklift operation, but also comfortable performing a wide range of warehouse duties including picking, scanning, receiving, and general facility support.

This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced warehouse environment where flexibility, attention to detail, and teamwork are essential.


Key Responsibilities

  • Read work orders, pick tickets, and follow instructions to accurately select and stage outbound products

  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as needed

  • Load, unload, and receive inbound shipments safely and efficiently

  • Scan, label, and stock inventory in appropriate warehouse locations

  • Pick and prepare orders for shipment or pickup

  • Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for damage and report any issues

  • Maintain accurate records of inventory and shipments

  • Ensure all products are properly staged and organized

Additional Duties

  • Assist with general warehouse operations including cleaning and organizing work areas

  • Move trash and maintain cleanliness of warehouse floors at the end of each shift

  • Support managers with special projects and additional tasks as needed

  • Follow all company safety policies and report hazards promptly

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • 1–2 years of warehouse experience preferred (shipping/receiving, picking, or inventory)

  • Forklift experience or willingness to learn required

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced warehouse environment

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Solid organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Bilingual skills are a plus

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Ability to lift, push, and pull materials and perform repetitive tasks

  • Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and standing for extended periods

  • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with concrete floors and varying temperatures

  • Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts
