Job details

We’re partnering with a large university in Minneapolis to find an experienced Administrative Support Specialist to cover a leave of absence in a busy office environment. This is a full-time role working directly on the Minneapolis campus.

Assignment details:

  • Start date: April 29

  • End date: June 22 (approximately)

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM

  • Location: Minneapolis campus (on-site role)

  • Pay: $23–$26/hour

This position sits at the front of the office and serves as the first point of contact for students, faculty, staff, and external partners. You’ll support daily office operations while coordinating administrative, HR-related, and financial processes across multiple departments. It’s a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, organization, and being a steady presence in a fast-paced academic setting.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Serving as the front desk contact: welcoming visitors, answering phones, managing email, sorting mail, and handling deliveries

  • Providing administrative support including calendaring, meeting coordination, travel arrangements, and event logistics

  • Taking meeting notes, drafting correspondence, and maintaining organized records and office procedures

  • Supporting HR processes such as onboarding, hiring coordination, appointment changes, payroll reporting, and maintaining confidential personnel records

  • Assisting with financial and purchasing activities including supplier setup, purchase orders, reimbursements, billing coordination, and tracking expenditures

  • Working closely with multiple campus offices and stakeholders to keep operations running smoothly

What we’re looking for:

  • Prior administrative or office support experience

  • Strong customer service skills with professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail

  • Ability to juggle priorities, stay organized, and work independently

  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Zoom, and scheduling systems

  • Someone dependable who can be fully on campus for the duration of the assignment

If you’re an experienced administrative professional who enjoys keeping offices organized and supporting a wide range of stakeholders, we’d love to connect.
