Kelly, in partnership with a 3PL company, is looking for a Warehouse Operations Manager in Romeoville, IL!

This is a permanent opportunity offering health benefits, vacation time, and competitive compensation upon hire.

Details:

  • Hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday – Friday

  • Compensation: $85,000 – $110,000 plus bonus

  • Location: Bolingbrook, IL

Job Description:
The Warehouse Operations Manager oversees all aspects of warehouse operations in a dynamic, multi-client 3PL environment. This leader ensures high standards in accuracy, efficiency, safety, and service quality while driving continuous improvement and supporting aggressive company growth targets—including scaling to multi-site operations. The manager is a strategic partner in staff development, technology deployment, client relations, and financial oversight to ensure seamless, scalable warehousing services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct warehouse activities: receiving, putaway, inventory control, B2B/D2C/cross-dock order fulfillment, shipping.

  • Achieve operational goals for accuracy, timeliness, and order quality.

  • Lead continuous improvement to boost efficiency and reliability.

  • Enforce OSHA/in-house safety standards and maintain SOPs for scalability and quality.

  • Lead, develop, train, and mentor warehouse staff.

  • Facilitate staffing, scheduling, labor planning to support growth and peak demand.

  • Cultivate a culture of teamwork, communication, and proactive problem-solving.

  • Manage performance, coaching, and corrective actions.

  • Complete and optimize WMS implementations.

  • Leverage WMS/data insights for performance reporting and operational decisions.

  • Coordinate system integrations (shipping, billing, EDI, client platforms).

  • Identify opportunities to enhance technology for efficiency and automation.

  • Partner with management/sales for client satisfaction, expansion, and retention.

  • Monitor and improve client KPIs and service delivery.

  • Oversee P&L, labor costs, storage and equipment expenses, fulfillment cost controls.

  • Identify cost savings without sacrificing service or morale.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of management experience in a 3PL

  • Ability to implement KPIs

  • Strong leadership skills; ability to give clear direction and take ownership of the site.
