Kelly Government Solutions is actively seeking a Lead Process Control Instrument Technician to join our team. This position will play a key role in leading and supporting the installation, maintenance, and operation of complex industrial control systems. The ideal candidate will ensure the reliability, efficiency, and performance of critical infrastructure systems, including pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and electronic instrumentation.

Schedule: 1st Shift | Full-Time | Long-Term | 100% Onsite (Monday–Friday)
Pay Rate: $50/hour
Health & Welfare Benefit: Additional $5.55/hour

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee daily activities of Process Control Instrumentation Technicians, ensuring work is completed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule
- Provide technical leadership, training, and mentorship to technicians and apprenticeship participants
- Review and inspect completed work to ensure compliance with specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements
- Troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and maintain industrial instrumentation and control systems across pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic platforms
- Design, install, and modify control systems and supporting infrastructure for facility operations
- Develop and maintain control programming, including PLC ladder logic and function block programming
- Configure and support instrumentation software, industrial communication networks, and SCADA systems (Ignition by Inductive Automation preferred)
- Perform preventive maintenance and system diagnostics to ensure optimal performance and reliability
- Lead system startups, commissioning, and certification efforts, including documentation of testing procedures and results
- Support and monitor systems such as lab-grade gases (LN2, N2, Argon, Helium), oxygen deficiency monitoring, water and gas metering, wireless sensors, and lift stations
- Implement and adjust alarm settings, control parameters, and system setpoints; document and communicate all changes
- Partner with engineering teams on system design, upgrades, and performance improvements
- Develop work plans, technical procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Maintain accurate documentation of system changes, maintenance activities, and equipment status
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, escalating when necessary
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations, policies, and operational standards
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial instrumentation, process control, or a related field, including leadership or advanced-level responsibilities
- Completion of an instrumentation technician program, apprenticeship, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong expertise in process control systems, including pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic instrumentation
- Hands-on experience with PLC programming (ladder logic and/or function block) and industrial control systems
- Familiarity with SCADA systems (Ignition preferred) and industrial communication networks
- Demonstrated troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities across complex systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
- Strong leadership, communication, and team coordination skills
