Pay: $21 – $22.50 per hour

Shift: 12-hour shifts, Days -m 7am-7pm M-Thurs, Nights – 7pm-7am

What’s a typical day as Machine Operator? You’ll be:

  • Setting up and operating coating, slitting, metalizing, or sheeting machines.

  • Loading rolls of paper onto machines and setting up within established tolerance levels.

  • Monitoring and making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal machine performance.

  • Operating overhead hoist, trucks, and dollies to transport materials.

  • Working from production schedules, work orders, specification sheets, checklists, and verbal instructions to achieve required production quantities and quality levels.

  • Monitoring product quality throughout the process and conducting various tests to ensure compliance with specifications.

  • Identifying malfunctions, process problems, and unusual conditions, and reporting them to the Supervisor.

  • Participating actively in analysis and troubleshooting to correct issues.

  • Cleaning machines and work areas according to established specifications.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

  • Have a High School Diploma or GED.

  • Can lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced team environment.

  • Are proficient in reading, understanding, and communicating in English.

  • Have the ability to read and comprehend safety policies, regulations, and basic product/process documentation.

  • Possess basic math skills, including arithmetic, decimals, fractions, use of formulas, charts, and interpretation of data.

  • Are able to use judgment to plan and perform setups and operate within standard procedures.

  • Have good communication skills.

  • Forklift operation experience is preferred.

  • Experience with 5S is a plus.
