Assembly Cell Operator

Job Summary:
Join our dynamic production team as an Assembly Cell Operator! In this vital role, you will be responsible for the safe, quality-focused, and efficient operation of a press and banding tool within an assembly cell environment. Your contributions will directly impact our production targets and customer satisfaction. If you are detail-oriented and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you!

Job Specifications:
Job Type: Full-time
Location: Walker, MI
Pay Rate: $19.00/hr
Shift: 2nd 3:00pm-1:10pm Mon-Thur (orientation will be conducted at 2:00pm)

Roles and Responsibilities:
– Operate within an assembly cell to maintain consistent workflow and meet production targets.
– Ensure completed assemblies and work areas remain organized and free of excess materials.
– Load completed assemblies onto pallets using engineered stacking methods for accuracy and stability.
– Create tags (Router/WIP – Inventory) as needed.
– Perform basic operations required at the assigned work cell.
– Procure batches as needed and follow the priority schedule.
– Assemble packaging materials as required.
– Inspect parts and perform required quality checks during the packing process.
– Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with 5S standards.
– Understand and work within all job-related Quality Objectives, Quality System Policies, Procedures, and Instructions.
– Follow established instructions and quality standards to ensure customer satisfaction.
– Responsible for the safety of self, team, and product from damage and/or injury.
– Properly set up dies following current standardized set-up instructions.
– Ensure correct packaging and piece-counts on skids/containers.
– Conduct accurate reporting of production quantities into the MRP (AX) system.

Qualifications & Skills:
– High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
– Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, production and quality recording, procedure manuals, and manufacturing work instructions.
– Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
– Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
– Physical ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and perform various physical tasks as required.
– Familiarity with manufacturing processes and quality standards is a plus.
