Job Title: Operator I
Location: Davie, FL
Shift Schedule: Night Shift (Monday – Friday, 10:00 pm – 6:30 am; flexible to work overtime as needed)
Day Shift available - TBD
Pay Rate: $20.00 – $23.00 per hour
Position Summary:
Operator I is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations while ensuring compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and applicable state, federal, and local regulations. This entry-level role involves equipment operation, process monitoring, and documentation, contributing to product quality and operational efficiency.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Execute responsibilities in line with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Report equipment or process problems to supervisor; perform basic troubleshooting
- Maintain and reconcile batch records, equipment logbooks, and other relevant documentation
- Set up, operate, and monitor equipment for processing operations
- Communicate effectively with previous and incoming shift operators and related personnel
- Clean and maintain processing rooms and equipment
- Monitor processes and make adjustments as needed to maintain batch specifications
- Monitor product quality
- Conduct in-process testing and reconciliations
- Review labels and batch records for accuracy
- Suggest improvements in methodology or process
- Understand delivery and on-time production requirements
- Follow established SOPs and batch record instructions
- Comply with all company safety rules and procedures
- Perform related duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience: Prefer 0-1 year in a manufacturing environment
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, reach, and climb
- Visual acuity to monitor/read equipment and records
- Communicate effectively with management, peers, and coworkers
- Ability to move/lift a minimum of 35 pounds
- Work in a manufacturing environment (moderate to loud noise levels)
- Use of respirator may be required; eligibility determined by Pulmonary Function Test (PFT)
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, reach, and climb
- Licenses/Certifications: None required
Job-Specific Competencies:
- Understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), FDA, and other regulatory requirements
- Proper use of English grammar and punctuation; effective oral and written communication
- Basic math skills
- Adherence to company safety rules and regulations
