- Schedule: Hybrid (in-person on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, remote the other days)
- Employment Type: 5-month Contract
What’s a typical day as a Procurement Coordinator? You will:
- Provide support for the entire procurement process in assigned commodities/services.
- Develop solicitation and contract documentation under general supervision.
- Analyze and interpret technical data, policy, and regulatory information to plan and coordinate procurement and contract activities.
- Assist in preparing solicitations and related documents, conducting oral presentations, negotiations, evaluations, and award processes.
- Participate in focus group meetings for statewide contracts when needed.
- Assist customers in developing complex technical and performance specifications in areas of specialization.
- Provide courteous, responsive assistance, recognize issues, and escalate as necessary.
- Assist in administering contracts and participate in post-award meetings.
- Initiate timely contract extensions and draft applicable amendments/change orders.
- Conduct market research and analyze relevant data under minimal supervision.
- Assist in the review of Sole Source and Emergency procurement requests for compliance, drafting formal written determination for supervisor and Chief Procurement Officer’s review.
- Attend and participate in meetings and handle special assignments as required.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field preferred.
- 2+ Years in a Business Administration role (Preferably Procurement Role)
- Experience in procurement, contracts administration, or a related area.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to commute to Metro-Phoenix for hybrid work days (Tuesdays and Wednesdays).
