Position Title: High-Speed Insert Operator
Location: El Dorado Hills, CA
Shifts Available:
- Early Week Day (EWD): Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and alternating Wednesdays
- Late Week Day (LWD): Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and alternating Saturdays
Position Overview
Join our team as a High-Speed Insert Operator! In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring high-speed inserting equipment used in the production and assembly of client output. You’ll interpret production orders, assemble printed materials, and ensure the highest quality standards for our final products.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor automatic or semi-automatic high-speed inserting equipment.
- Interpret production orders to determine job requirements.
- Assemble printed materials and distribute the finished product.
- Evaluate the quality of output (including color matching and report issues as needed).
- Perform preventative maintenance and authorized equipment repairs.
- Resolve system issues and seek assistance when necessary.
- Prepare mail for acceptance by the post office.
- Comply with operating guidelines and ensure efficient use of equipment.
- Lead, direct, or assist others as needed, depending on experience level.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience operating inserting or high-speed manufacturing equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
- Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Adaptable and flexible to shifting priorities and rapid change.
- Strong analytical skills and critical thinking.
- Basic math skills; able to use calculators as needed.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and training manuals.
- Familiarity with PC applications such as MS Office and print management systems.
- Ability to work well in diverse team environments.
- Leadership skills are a plus.
- Able to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
