Location: Auburn, WA
Job Type: Full-Time
Starting Pay: $27/hr (DOE)
Shifts:
- Swing Shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:25 PM – 1:55 AM
- Weekend Shift: Friday–Sunday, 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM (eligible for 11.11% shift differential)
Job Description
We are seeking a Finish Cell Painter to join our team. In this role, you will apply primer, topcoat, Sol-Gel, and other aerospace coatings to components while supporting an organization that values community impact and skill development.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Apply primer and topcoat coatings according to aerospace finishing specifications (e.g., BAC specifications).
- Prepare parts for primer, subsequent coats, and topcoat painting.
- Disassemble, clean, and reassemble spray equipment.
- Complete all documentation and forms following AAM processes.
- Follow Orion procedures and work instructions to prevent defects or nonconformances.
- Participate in 6S, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Wear required PPE and work safely at all times.
- Model proper work ethics, behavior, hygiene, and dress standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in aerospace finishing.
- Ability to independently mix and apply aerospace primers.
- Ability to operate painting equipment independently.
- Knowledge of aerospace finishing specifications (e.g., BAC specifications).
Physical Requirements
- Frequent use of hands, fingers, and vision (including close, distance, color, depth perception, and spatial awareness)
- Frequent hearing and speaking to receive and convey instructions
- Frequent lifting of 5–10 lbs; occasional lifting up to 35 lbs
- Regular exposure to chemicals, solvents, paints, and manufacturing shop floor environment
