Graybar – Charlotte, NC
Pay: $20.00 – $21.50/hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday | Part-Time Shifts Available

Position Overview

Graybar, an employee-owned company, is hiring Warehouse Associates to support daily operations in a fast-paced distribution environment. This role involves receiving, stocking, picking, and shipping materials for electrical contractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, stock, and organize incoming materials

  • Break down and sort products for storage or shipment

  • Pick, pack, and stage orders accurately

  • Operate RF scanners to fulfill orders

  • Move materials to racks and designated locations

  • Perform wire cutting using machine-based equipment

  • Maintain quality and accuracy by double-checking work

  • Keep a clean and safe work environment

Departments / Work Areas

  • Receiving / Putaway (Sam’s Crew): Unloading, sorting, and stocking materials

  • Wire Cutting: Measuring and cutting wire per order specifications

  • Outbound (Shipping): Picking, packing, and preparing shipments

Available Shifts

1st Shift (Inbound / Receiving)
 ~7:00 AM – 11:00 AM

  • Sit-down forklift operation

  • Unloading trucks and inspecting materials

  • Lifting 50–75 lbs

Mid Shift (Stocking / Material Handling)
10:00 AM – 2:00 PM or 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM

  • Cherry picker / stock picker operation

  • Material handling and stocking

  • Must be comfortable with heights (training provided)

Evening Shift (Outbound)
3:30 PM – 7:00 PM

  • Order picking and outbound shipping

  • Forklift experience preferred

Full Shift Option
10:00 AM – 7:00 PM

  • Machine operation and heavy lifting

  • Reach truck experience preferred

  • Mandatory overtime may apply

Physical Requirements

  • Lift 50–80 lbs regularly

  • Comfortable working at heights (cherry picker)

  • Constant movement (standing, walking, bending)

  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse

Equipment Used

  • Sit-down forklift

  • Reach truck (preferred)

  • Cherry picker / stock picker

  • Pallet jack

  • RF scanner
