Position: Certified Radiation Therapist
Location: On-Site, VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, Pittsburgh, PA
Employment Type: Full-Time, Monday–Friday (Day Shift)
Salary: $40-$43
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver prescribed radiation therapy treatments to patients under the supervision of a Radiation Oncologist.
- Ensure adherence to American College of Radiology (ACR) and ARRT standards, VA protocols, and safety guidelines.
- Precisely position patients and operate specialized radiation equipment.
- Monitor and document patient conditions, side effects, or reactions and collaborate with medical team members.
- Support quality assurance initiatives and ongoing education requirements.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or higher from an ARRT-approved Radiation Therapy program.
- ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy (T) required, or eligibility to obtain prior to start.
- Demonstrated high ethical standards in line with ARRT requirements.
- BLS certification (active).
- Previous experience as a Radiation Therapist is preferred; new graduates are also encouraged to apply.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
