Kelly® Science & Clinical is currently seeking a Laboratory Assistant for a temporary contract opportunity with one of our industry partners in Minneapolis, MN. If you enjoy hands-on laboratory work and are looking to grow your career in the scientific field, this could be a great opportunity to gain valuable industry experience.

Summary
The Laboratory Assistant will support the processing of raw biological materials used in clinical control products. This role is responsible for maintaining production equipment, ensuring a clean and compliant work environment, and completing all required documentation accurately and on time.

This position is well-suited for individuals who are comfortable working with blood products, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and thrive in a production-based laboratory setting. The role requires the ability to work both independently and as part of a team to consistently meet daily production targets.

Responsibilities

  • Process raw biological materials, including bovine and porcine blood

  • Clean and maintain production equipment, containers, and work areas

  • Accurately complete batch records and all required documentation

  • Follow all safety and compliance standards, including AWAIR, Chemical Hygiene, and Exposure Control programs

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervision

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred

  • Experience: 1–2 years of laboratory or production experience

  • Willingness to handle blood and blood-derived materials

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently on routine tasks

  • Strong problem-solving abilities

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Comfortable with repetitive tasks and shifting priorities as needed

Additional Details

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

  • Pay Rate: $22/hour

  • Location: Minneapolis, MN

  • Employment Type: Contract (W2), with potential for permanent hire after 6-12 months
