Pay Rate: $18/hour (1-year contract)

Shift Information:

  • Monday & Tuesday: Start time is 6:30am (when payroll is run as a team)

  • Wednesday–Friday: Flexible shift start time

What’s a typical day as Payroll Associate? You’ll be:

  • Processing and analyzing time, earnings, and deductions/withholdings on a weekly basis to ensure accurate net pay in compliance with union contracts and company policies

  • Independently analyzing and resolving complex payroll issues as they arise

  • Communicating with employees of various levels regarding payroll questions, processes, and training

  • Building and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with team members, unit partners, and other key functional areas

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

  • Possess a high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Have strong analytical skills and experience with complex data analysis

  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication and teamwork abilities

  • Are able to quickly learn and adapt to multiple payroll and IT software systems

  • Approach change with a positive mindset and are proactive in identifying process improvements

  • Are experienced with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word

  • Can handle confidential information with maturity and professionalism

Preferred qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in business or accounting discipline, or equivalent experience

  • Knowledge of payroll and payroll tax processes

  • Proficiency with SAP and IBM/Host applications such as TSO and RMDS

  • Experience maintaining confidential information

Shift Information:

  • Monday & Tuesday: Start time is 6:30am (when payroll is run as a team)

  • Wednesday–Friday: Flexible shift start time
