Job Title: Clerk I – Administrative Assistant
Hours: Monday – Thursday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
Compensation: $18/hour

Position Overview:
The Clerk I – Administrative Assistant plays a vital, visible role in supporting daily operations and ensuring smooth workflow through exceptional administrative leadership. This position requires professionalism, dedication to service, and the ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with staff and stakeholders. Accurate and timely communication is key to the success of this role.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Flexibility, sound judgment, initiative, and prioritization skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficiency with basic office equipment (computer, copier, postage machine)

  • Excellent typing and proofreading skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, Excel) required

  • Experience with Mailchimp and Canva preferred

  • Professional demeanor, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to staff members and organizational leadership

  • Manage various correspondence and communications, including but not limited to: bulletins, newsletters, website, email, social media, calendars, and phone calls

  • Maintain membership and attendance databases

  • Prepare and maintain records for finance and accounting staff

  • Oversee inventory of office supplies and equipment

  • Supervise office volunteers as needed

  • Suggest process improvements to enhance administrative effectiveness

  • Perform other administrative duties as required by supervisor or management
