? Pay Rate: $24/hour (basic programming) | $26/hour (strong programming) + $1.50 shift differential
? Shift: Monday to Friday | 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
? Employment Type: Contract (3 months, potential for conversion)
? Work Setup: Onsite, manufacturing environment
?? What’s a typical day as a Production Machinist I? You will:
Operate machining equipment such as lathes, mills, grinders, and saws to produce precision parts.
Select appropriate raw materials, cutting tools, and machining parameters based on job requirements.
Set up and adjust machines according to pre-programmed instructions and work orders.
Use measuring tools such as micrometers, gauges, and indicators to verify part accuracy and tolerances.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and program readouts.
Determine proper feeds, speeds, and machining methods based on material and tolerance specifications.
Perform manual adjustments, including cutter compensation, to maintain required dimensions.
Utilize standard machine attachments such as rotary tables and magnetic chucks.
Maintain safe and efficient operations while performing repetitive, high-production tasks.
? This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum of 2 years of machining experience and/or training.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Knowledge of machining materials such as metals, alloys, and composites.
Understanding of machining tools, feeds, speeds, and tolerances.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with machining programs.
Knowledge of trade mathematics and machinist handbook principles.
Technical school training or apprenticeship experience (preferred).
