Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Location: Portland, OR (Fully Onsite)
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday
Pay Rate: $28.50/hour
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources Coordinator to support a wide range of HR functions, including payroll, benefits administration, HRIS management, compliance, and employee support. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity offering full-time hours in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support biweekly payroll processing, including auditing timekeeping data, reviewing earnings/deductions, and partnering with vendors and finance to ensure accuracy
- Assist with benefits administration (enrollments, changes, terminations) and support open enrollment and audit activities
- Serve as a point of contact for employee questions related to payroll, benefits, and general HR processes
- Maintain and update employee data within the HRIS, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and proper documentation
- Reconcile payroll data and assist with reporting, analysis, and HR metrics for leadership
- Support compliance efforts by maintaining records, monitoring employment law updates, and assisting with policy/process improvements
- Assist with onboarding coordination, employee communications, and general HR/office support as needed
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of related HR experience
- Strong knowledge of payroll processing, benefits administration, and HRIS systems
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data management
- Ability to manage high-volume work and multitask effectively
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
