Position: Inspector 
Job Type: Hourly 
Pay Rate: $16/hour 
Shift: 1st (6 AM – 4:30 PM) 
Location: Grand Rapids, MI 
 

Job Summary 
As an Inspector, you will work collaboratively on a production team to meet goals around racking, inspection, sorting, packaging, and labeling. This hands-on role is perfect for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment, have a strong work ethic, and are eager to contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality finishes. 
 

Roles and Responsibilities 

  • Maintain professionalism at all times while on the production floor 

  • Learn and understand production processes related to inspection 

  • Identify and categorize plating defects with precision 

  • Accurately enter inspection data into computer systems 

  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and fellow team members 

  • Receive training on new parts and product requirements 

  • Operate plant equipment and organize materials 

  • Perform final packaging and labeling of products 

  • Adhere to handling and palletizing procedures 

  • Assist with material handling, inventory, sorting, and racking tasks 

  • Attach products to racks according to specific instructions 

  • Respond quickly to other duties as assigned 

Qualifications & Skills 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 

  • Excellent organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail 

  • Basic computer proficiency 

  • Ability to stand/walk for long periods, lift up to 70 lbs, and perform repetitive motions 

  • Must wear close-toed shoes; comfortable working in hot/humid plant conditions 

  • Commitment to following safety guidelines and procedures 

  • Equivalent relevant experience required
