Type: Contract-to-Hire


Shift & Schedule:

  • 1st Shift – 12-hour shifts

  • 2-week rotating schedule:

    • Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday

    • Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday


Position Summary

The Production Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating manufacturing equipment to produce high-quality food products. This role ensures all products meet company standards, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements while supporting daily production goals in a safe and clean work environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Operate production and packaging equipment following standard operating procedures (SOPs)

  • Set up, monitor, and adjust machinery to maintain product quality and efficiency

  • Perform routine quality checks and accurately document results

  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), HACCP guidelines, and all food safety and sanitation requirements

  • Complete production, downtime, safety, and sanitation documentation

  • Identify and report equipment issues, product defects, and safety concerns

  • Assist with equipment changeovers, basic troubleshooting, and routine cleaning

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift

  • Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements

  • Collaborate with team members, maintenance, and quality teams to meet production goals

  • Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives

Qualifications & Skills

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

  • Basic math, reading, and documentation skills

  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn equipment operation

  • Team-oriented with strong communication skills

  • Safety-focused with a high level of accountability

  • Reliable, punctual, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment

  • Prior food manufacturing experience preferred

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs throughout the shift

  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights

  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule

  • Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed

  • Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures, noise levels, and exposure to food allergens
