Recruiter / Talent Acquisition Specialist (Manufacturing)
Based out of Allegan, MI, but remote – Eastern Time
Contract Role – 6 Months
$30–$35/hour | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (EST)
About the Role
We are seeking a Recruiter / Talent Acquisition Specialist with corporate recruiting experience in manufacturing environments to support high-volume, full-cycle hiring across multiple U.S. locations.
This role focuses on recruiting quality, technical, and leadership talent—ranging from QA Technicians and Chemists to Supervisors and Senior Leadership. You’ll partner closely with hiring managers and HR leaders to deliver a seamless, high-quality hiring process.
This position is primarily remote, with occasional on-site presence in Allegan, MI. Candidates must have reliable high-speed internet and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruiting: sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding support
- Recruit across multiple levels, including quality, technical, and leadership roles
- Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and build effective hiring strategies
- Write and post engaging, SEO-friendly job descriptions
- Source candidates using LinkedIn, job boards, and other recruiting tools
- Conduct phone screens and evaluate candidate qualifications
- Coordinate interviews and manage scheduling logistics
- Provide regular updates on pipeline activity, metrics, and hiring progress
- Support recruiting efforts across multiple states (including Michigan, Ohio, and Vermont)
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies
- Contribute to employer branding and candidate engagement initiatives
- Potential (minimal) exposure to international recruiting support
What You Bring
- 2+ years of experience in corporate or agency recruiting
- Proven experience recruiting within a manufacturing environment (required)
- Ability to recruit across multiple levels (technical through leadership)
- Strong sourcing skills using LinkedIn, Indeed, and other platforms
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Microsoft Office
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
Work Environment
- Primarily remote (U.S.-based)
- Occasional on-site presence in Allegan, MI as needed
- Standard schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM EST
