Job Title: Shipper/Receiver
Pay Rate: $18.90/hour
Shift: 2nd Shift | Monday–Friday | 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
Location: Greensboro, NC 27409


Job Summary

The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for supporting inbound warehouse operations by unloading, inspecting, and verifying incoming shipments. This role ensures materials are received accurately, safely, and in accordance with company procedures while maintaining inventory integrity.


Key Responsibilities

  • Follow all company safety policies and standard operating procedures

  • Perform daily equipment checks to ensure a safe and efficient work environment

  • Unload incoming shipments and verify items against purchase orders and packing slips

  • Inspect goods for damage, accuracy, and proper quantities

  • Accurately record received items into the inventory management system

  • Tag and stage materials in designated warehouse locations

  • Communicate with purchasing and logistics teams regarding discrepancies or damaged goods

  • Maintain a clean and organized receiving area

  • Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (training provided if needed)

Qualifications

  • Consistent work history with no significant gaps in employment

  • Prior experience in a warehouse, shipping, or receiving environment

  • Strong understanding of inbound logistics and receiving processes

  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain accurate records

  • Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with company policies

  • Experience with unloading and inspecting shipments for accuracy and condition

  • Forklift experience is not required, but willingness to learn is preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, carry, and move materials (up to 50 lbs or more as needed)

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
