Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct clinical assessments, monitor vitals, and perform study procedures within the full nursing scope.

  • Administer investigational products (as permitted), oversee study participants, and safeguard patient safety.

  • Support participant recruitment, screening, and informed consent processes.

  • Ensure compliance with GCP, FDA, ICH, and DoD Human Research Protection Program requirements.

  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and assist with electronic data capture queries.

  • Serve as a vital liaison among clinicians, research teams, and military personnel.

  • Perform protocol-specific tasks, such as phlebotomy, ECGs, and specimen collection, as needed.

  • Support protocol adherence, deviation reporting, and audit preparation.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Active Virginia RN license (or willingness to obtain).

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

  • At least 2 years of recent clinical nursing experience.

  • Active secret clearance. Will consider newly deactivated secret or public trust clearance. 

  • Strong clinical assessment, teamwork, and documentation skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ACRP or SOCRA certification.

  • Familiarity with Good Clinical Practice (GCP).

  • Experience with MHS GENESIS.

  • Previous experience in DoD, VA, or federal healthcare research.

 

Key Research Areas:

Work includes but is not limited to studies in cardiology, hematology, nephrology, traumatic brain injury (TBI), adult specialty care, and more.
