Schedule & Pay Rate:
Sunday – Wednesday | 8:00 PM – 6:30 AM | $17.50/hour
Wednesday – Saturday | 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM | $17.00/hour
Sunday – Wednesday | 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM | $16.50/hour
Job Summary:
The Material Handler is responsible for moving materials, supplies, and finished goods throughout the facility, either manually or using a hand truck. This role supports efficient warehouse operations and ensures products are properly staged for storage or shipment. The position typically reports to the Warehouse Supervisor or Lead.
Key Responsibilities:
- Move materials within the facility manually or using a hand truck
- Load finished products onto pallets or hand trucks
- Stack and organize pallets or skids in designated areas
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including:
- Sweeping floors
- Cleaning workspaces and offices
- Removing and properly disposing of trash
- Sweeping floors
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support warehouse operations
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Previous material handling or warehouse experience.
- Ability to stand and/or walk for 10–12 hours per shift
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs without restriction
- Capable of frequent bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching (both above and below waist level)
- Comfortable working in large warehouse environments (facilities may exceed a quarter mile in length)
- Ability to work in varying conditions, including different noise levels, lighting, and temperature changes
- Willingness to work extended or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Strong attention to detail
