Job Title: Material Handler
Location: South Bend, IN 46628
Schedule & Pay Rate: 

Sunday – Wednesday | 8:00 PM – 6:30 AM | $17.50/hour
Wednesday – Saturday | 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM | $17.00/hour
Sunday – Wednesday | 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM | $16.50/hour

 
Job Summary:
The Material Handler is responsible for moving materials, supplies, and finished goods throughout the facility, either manually or using a hand truck. This role supports efficient warehouse operations and ensures products are properly staged for storage or shipment. The position typically reports to the Warehouse Supervisor or Lead.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Move materials within the facility manually or using a hand truck

  • Load finished products onto pallets or hand trucks

  • Stack and organize pallets or skids in designated areas

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including:

    • Sweeping floors

    • Cleaning workspaces and offices

    • Removing and properly disposing of trash


  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support warehouse operations

 
Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred

  • Previous material handling or warehouse experience.

  • Ability to stand and/or walk for 10–12 hours per shift

  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs without restriction

  • Capable of frequent bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching (both above and below waist level)

  • Comfortable working in large warehouse environments (facilities may exceed a quarter mile in length)

  • Ability to work in varying conditions, including different noise levels, lighting, and temperature changes

  • Willingness to work extended or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

  • Strong attention to detail
