Location: Mt. Juliet, TN
Schedule: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Salary: $65,00-75,000 + Benefits
Overview
We are seeking a Quality & Food Safety Supervisor to support a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This role is a key frontline leadership position responsible for driving food safety, quality systems, and continuous improvement initiatives while supporting a strong operational and safety culture.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical background in food safety and quality, along with the ability to lead teams, support production, and ensure compliance with regulatory and GFSI standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to ensure the facility remains safe, clean, and well organized
- Partner cross-functionally to reduce risk and strengthen people, programs, and processes
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within a lean manufacturing environment
- Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of food safety programs
- Provide technical support for R&D, product commercialization, reformulations, and process design
- Administer and train team members on GFSI standards and program requirements
- Conduct line audits and process checks to ensure product conformance and process control
- Initiate food safety and quality hold procedures as needed
- Manage internal audits and oversee corrective action completion
- Conduct and review analytical testing of raw materials and finished products
- Monitor environmental and plant conditions, including pre-operational inspections
- Ensure compliance with equipment calibration and verification programs
- Maintain the Environmental Monitoring Program
- Ensure compliance with FSMA and all Preventative Controls requirements
- Update, review, and train employees on SOPs, SSOPs, GMPs, and Food Safety Plans
- Manage scheduling of hourly Quality and Sanitation team members
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related field; however, will consider experience in lieu of degree
- 3–6 years of Quality Assurance experience in a food manufacturing environment, including supervisory experience
- Certified Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI)
- Strong knowledge of GFSI and FSMA requirements
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset
- Excellent communication, training, and leadership abilities

Working Conditions
- Must be able to work in an environment containing common allergens (nuts, dairy, grains, etc.)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Comfortable working in a production and warehouse environment
- Flexibility to adapt to changing production schedules and priorities
