We’re seeking a Communications Manager/Community Relations Coordinator to work at a premier building materials manufacturer in North Minneapolis, MN 55430. With us, it’s all about finding the job that’s just right.
Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation:
$60.00 per hour
Schedule: 20 hours a week, Monday to Friday with flexibility (some evening/weekend event coverage required)

What’s a typical day?
- Serve as the primary contact for community organizations and residents, handling intake, coordination, and timely follow-up
- Coordinate messaging with internal departments for consistency and effectiveness
- Work with management and consultants to craft responses, document actions, and communicate with stakeholders
- Identify organizations, causes, and events for grants, sponsorships, and volunteer initiatives
- Represent the company at community boards, events, meetings, and committees
- Manage structured engagement with residents and internal teams, track issues, and ensure resolution
- Track and report on activities, responsiveness, and community engagement success
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Hold a bachelor’s degree
- Have 3-5 years in community relations, communications, nonprofit engagement, public affairs, or related fields
- Are a proactive self-starter with sound judgment
- Possess excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Can manage budgets and prioritize resources effectively
- Are comfortable with social media, nonprofit management, and neighborhood association structures (preferred)
- Can work occasional nights or weekends as needed
- Thrive in regulated, high-stake environments with complex stakeholders
