Build High?Impact Projects. Own Your Work. Grow Your Career.

Kelly Services is partnering with a leading electrical contractor in Vancouver to hire a mid–senior level Electrical Estimator. If you’re an experienced estimator who thrives in a structured, high?performance environment — and you want to work where your accuracy, speed, and expertise actually matter — this role is built for you.

This is a production-focused position where you’ll take full ownership of your bids, manage multiple opportunities at once, and play a key role in winning commercial and institutional projects. No fluff, no hand?holding — just meaningful work, strong systems, and a team that values results.

What You’ll Do

You’ll be the driving force behind competitive, accurate bids that help secure major commercial projects. Your day-to-day will include:

  • Leading and managing bid opportunities with general contractors

  • Completing precise takeoffs and interpreting full drawing packages

  • Identifying scope gaps, risks, and clarifications

  • Validating supplier pricing and ensuring competitive numbers

  • Supporting bid closings and final submissions

  • Delivering clean, organized handoffs to project management

This is a role where your expertise directly impacts awarded work — and where strong performance is recognized and rewarded.

What You Bring

Experience

  • 5–10+ years of electrical estimating experience

  • Commercial construction background

  • Experience estimating projects from $100K–$5M

Technical Strengths

  • Accubid expertise (required)

  • LiveCount or similar takeoff software

  • Strong drawing interpretation across disciplines

Who You Are

  • Independent and self?driven

  • Detail?obsessed and accuracy?focused

  • Clear, confident communicator

  • Able to manage multiple bids simultaneously

  • Proactive, accountable, and consistent

If you’re someone who can step in and add value with minimal ramp?up, you’ll thrive here.

Who This Role Is Not For

  • Junior or trainee estimators

  • Residential-only experience

  • Relationship-focused or sales-driven estimators

  • Candidates without Accubid experience

  • Anyone unable to clearly articulate their estimating process

This is a role for someone who knows their craft and wants to operate at a high level.

Performance Expectations

  • Managing $500K–$1M+ in weekly bid volume

  • High accuracy and margin protection

  • On-time, polished bid submissions

  • Strong conversion of opportunities into awarded work

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $90,000–$110,000

  • Performance-based bonus

  • Full benefits package

You’ll be joining a company with a strong pipeline, structured systems, and a culture that values operators who deliver. It’s a place where you can grow your career without unnecessary bureaucracy — and where your work has a direct impact.
