Stockroom Move Associate – West Palm Beach, FL

Kelly Outsourcing & Consulting Group (KellyOCG), a managed solution provider and business unit of Kelly Services, Inc., is currently seeking a Stockroom Move Associate at one of our Global clients in West Palm Beach, FL.  This role is a fully benefited position.

Title: Stockroom Move Associate
Location: West Palm Beach (33410)
Pay: $20 hr; plus benefits and PTO
Hours: M-F first shift
Duration: six month contract (possible extension)

Job Summary: This is a light assembly position building transportation kits. Performs a variety of duties to receive, distribute, assemble and store finished goods into sales warehouse
or customer locations as directed. Will also perform materials receipt, disbursement and related activities as directed.

Responsibilities:

  • Under general direction and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:

  • Picks finished goods throughout the warehouse as required by sales order ship lists.

  • Processes goods supplies including unpacking, verifying, labeling, and distributing to appropriate location.

  • Fills requisitions for goods and materials.

  • Contacts appropriate shipping companies/departments when shipping items.

  • Assists in preparing shipping foods and relevant equipment.

  • Uses miscellaneous material handling equipment(dollies, pallet jack, forklift) to move materials.

  • Performs physical inventories and cycle counts.

  • Maintains the record of wait delivery requests and notify the appropriate department supervisor of material

and/or goods that are not on schedule.

  • Maintains the logbooks up to date for optimum material flow.

  • Makes inquiries of inventory to ensure adequate supplies are on hand.

  • Assists in other related material handling activities including maintaining proper documentation of all

incoming and outgoing materials and keeping physical inventories.

  • Exercises care in handling materials.

  • Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level.

  • For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable

  • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures

  • Performs other duties assigned as needed

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of direct Inventory Control experience required. 

  • Proficient working knowledge of MRP (SAP) systems and Microsoft software

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Job requires a regular amount of walking within the Distribution and Manufacturing facilities.  Lifting is required to move product, computer paper, and supplies.  Work is detailed; concentrated mental/visual attention is required to plan and perform work while maintaining accuracy. 

  • A high degree of detailed work required 

  • Good oral and written communication skills along with the ability to multi task on a daily basis
